Yes, it's possible, thanks to Hérault-Tourisme's transport services, which will take you all over the region.

La ligne de bus 608 offers the following hikes:

  • Le bois de Lèques from Les Matelles (2h),
  • Le sentier des Drailles from Viols-le-Fort (2h45),
  • Le Pic Saint-Loup from Saint-Martin-de-Londres (6h return).


PLEASE NOTE: there is no stop on line 608 in the Montpellier-Le Vigan direction for the Ravin des Arcs hike.

La ligne de bus 610  offers the following hikes:

  • The oenorando "Entre Grés de Montpellier et Pic Saint-Loup" from Assas (4h),
  • Les Charbonnières from Sainte-Croix-de-Quintillargues (2h30).

PLEASE NOTE: The times and stops of bus route 611 (departing from Castelnau PAS Montpellier) do not allow you to hike the Fontanaride from Teyran.

La ligne de bus 614 allows you to hike

  • Du Bois de Saint-Sauveur from Saint-Clément-de-Rivière (2h). 

And to discover the Grand Pic Saint-Loup...

La ligne de bus 615  takes you to the summit of Pic Saint-Loup from Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers (5h return).

PLEASE NOTE: The timetable for bus route 615 does not allow you to hike the Crête de Taillade from Claret with a return trip during the day.

PLEASE NOTE: The timetable of bus route 616 does not allow you to hike the Arnède à la Caravette from Murles with a return trip during the day. 

There is no public transport to Ferrières-les-Verreries, Saint-Jean-de-Buèges or Pégairolles-de-Buèges.

No shuttle service in summer 2023
A summer shuttle service, route 608 (Navette Thaurac, navette Pic Saint-Loup), runs to Cazevieille from Montpellier Occitanie in July and August only, and takes passengers up to Pic Saint-Loup (2.5 hrs return).
