CHÂTEAU DE LASCOURS

Lascours i ssituated 25km to the north of Montpellier in the magnificient "terroir" of the Pic St-Loup.
Here, during the summer months when the grapes are ripening, the contrast in temperature between day and night stimulares a sophisticated development of the polyphenols wich give the wines their special character.
Lascours has been a family run Domaine for four generations : it has 35 ha of vineyard. All the vines are produced in our cellars and bottled at the Domaine.
The winery is certified Oragnic Culture since 2014.
During the harvest, each batch is vinified individually to ensure the parcels of the oldest and the youngest vines are kept separate. The whole fermentation process is carefully temperature controlled.
Depending on the parcel, after a longer or shorter period of maceration (sometimes the Syrah can take up to 30 days) the wine is left to maturatebefore the "assemblage". we taste the various "cuvees" of your Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre before selecting the red wines.
