GRP Pic Saint Loup 2

Saint Jean-de-Buèges

A small medieval village at the foot of the Séranne mountain, a naturally preserved "Causse et Cévennes" site classified as a world heritage site by Unesco. A varied environment rich in biodiversity.

Causse-de-la-Selle

Take the route of the transhumant shepherds and muleteers who used to cross the Causse. You will walk along the Hérault river and see it through windows of vegetation. Once you arrive at the Moulin, you will find something to dip your feet in!

Saint-Martin-de-Londres

Stop off at the heart of the village's remarkable heritage: the church and the old centre are full of historical nuggets and curiosities to be found...

Mas-de-Londres

You reach the foot of the north face of the Pic Saint-Loup to turn towards the valley that stretches out in front of you: the open, green plain opens its arms to you. Be careful, the sun can be very strong in summer.

Notre Dame de Londres

The crossing of the Val de Londres also allowed the crossing of the Lamalou, this turquoise stream famous for having dug the arches of the Ravin des Arcs.

Ferrières-les-Verreries

A real transition in landscapes: you will leave the grassy plain for more small, gentle reliefs, revealing the soil of white limestone drawing impressive strata in places...

Saint Bauzille-de-Putois

You are approaching the Cévennes... You will recognize the proximity to the Plateau du Thaurac and the Grotte des Demoiselles. You will find a red thread in your walk: the Hérault, which flows under a suspension bridge...

Brissac

A perfect illustration of your change of scenery: you are now away from the Hérault Valley, at the foot of the Sérrane. Welcome to an island of greenery in the middle of the garrigue and crossed by the Avèze, this river fed by "a hundred springs".

Saint André-de-Buèges

You get to know the Séranne more and more, following it from below. You will see the Roc Blanc, and Peyre Martin its highest point, before slowly reaching Saint-Jean-de-Buèges and the preserved and little frequented natural settings that the Buèges will offer you to end your journey.
