On a specially set-up cliff and thanks to the advice of your instructor, you progress quickly, going from ladders embedded in the cliff face to underground sections, abseiling and zip lines.
Some open-air sections may take your breath away. French climbers say "Il y a du gaz" (literally there's gas), referring to the vertigo-inducing void. Fine with heights? Your guide can suggest slight variations that are more
challenging. Anxiety getting the better of you? He will help you get through it.
At the top, you are sure to appreciate the view of the Hérault Gorges below and the mountains of the Cévennes all around. You will go home full of excitement with one idea in mind: to do it all again!
