In the shadow of Montferrand Castle
This 50 km loop, starting from Matelles, plunges you into a majestic setting where Montferrand Castle watches over the Pic Saint-Loup.
The vines spread at the foot of a relief that dominates the garrigue and diffuses a Mediterranean aromatic bouquet: thyme, rosemary, savory… These wild influences are found in wines with fresh and fine accents, carried by the coolness of the nights. Vines in Landscapes
This 65 km route is designed as a contemplative stroll.
It offers three perspectives of the wine landscape – “the vine in its setting”, “the vine to contemplate” and “the vine within reach” – in a very photogenic and immersive spirit.
The circuit, labelled “International Network of Wine Landscapes”, takes you from the village of Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers to the municipality of Notre-Dame-de-Londres, crossing plateaus of causse, ridges, and picturesque villages. The vines draw a living horizon, where each estate invites you to an oenological discovery.
Between Grès de Montpellier and Pic Saint-Loup
This 46 km loop, easy to traverse, leads you to the heart of an amphitheater of vineyards dominated by the Pic Saint-Loup.
You will cross Roman and fortified villages, fragrant pines, and colorful garrigues. On this road, the wines reflect the diversity of the terroir: AOP Pic Saint-Loup, AOP Languedoc, AOP Grès de Montpellier, and IGP Saint-Guilhem–Val de Monferrand. Around the Gorges of Hérault
Winding between the cliffs of Sérénas, this 58 km road takes you into the valley of Buèges, a discreet yet fascinating corner of the Grand Pic Saint-Loup.
Here, nature is powerful: panorama of rocks, dry stone villages, medieval churches, and typical stone walls. Along the routes, you can taste wines such as AOC Terrasses du Larzac and IGP Saint-Guilhem–Val de Monferrand, cuvées that reflect the altitude, exposure, and freshness of the terroir.
