Cie la Naïve - Another November 11

The first act of resistance.

After receiving a clandestine message calling for resistance, during a rehearsal of "The Misanthrope" by Molière, the students of the theater workshop of a high school decided on this November 11, 1940, to resist the German occupation by imposing three fundamental rules: Never carry out an action with more than three people. Never involve the high school or the theater group. And above all, continue to live.
This show tells the story of six high school students whose lives change as they decide to disobey the authorities and go to lay flowers on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Alternating between acts of resistance that are as carefree as they are funny and the true letters written by Lucien Legros, Marguerite Bervoets, and Henry Fertet just before being executed, the dramaturgy carries the audience into a whirlwind of emotions.
Another November 11 is an extraordinary show, the foundation of Cie la Naïve, which will, from its first performances, deeply move the audience. Then, one day in 2005, Michel Agnellet, the youngest volunteer in the resistance, sits in the theater. The story performed is that of his best friend. From that day until his last breath, he will accompany the play and meet nearly 25,000 middle school and high school students to provide them with a testimony of astonishing modernity.

Bringing together a new cast of young actors, La Naïve recreates Another November 11 in 2026. This time, the aim is not to describe a bygone era and honor our glorious heroes, but to describe our current era, compare it to the past, and give a space for humanist ideas of freedom, equality, and solidarity to be expressed on our theater stage.
