Lecture: "The Fascinating Power of Mitochondria" (copie)
On 17 November, we will be joined by Dr Laurent Chevallier, a nutritionist and physician affiliated with Montpellier University Hospital, who will talk to us about "The Fascinating Power of Mitochondria".
The body's cells (brain cells, muscle cells, etc.) function thanks to energy produced by mitochondria, which are located at the very heart of the cells. These entities, numbering several billion in the body and accounting for 10% of body weight, are fragile. Many factors can damage them, including climate and environmental disruption.
During his lecture, Dr Chevallier will describe the role of mitochondria and answer the following questions: how can we protect them? How can we stimulate them to prevent memory and concentration problems, improve physical performance and prevent numerous diseases?
Dr Chevallier's books will be on sale with the participation of L’Ourse Bleue bookshop. Light refreshments will be served after the question-and-answer session.
