Clos des Augustins
A 55-hectare estate, Le Clos des Augustins is located 20 km north of Montpellier in the Pic Saint-Loup cru, one of the most prestigious in Languedoc. During the 20th century, the grandfathers, both named Augustin, cultivated the vines at the foot of Pic Saint-Loup. Frédéric Mezy, the great-grandson, decided to carry on the legacy in 1999 on the production side with the support of his father, Roger Mezy.
A titanic task; clearing, crushing, replanting allowed him to work according to his convictions while respecting the fauna and flora. A respectful approach to the environment was then implemented. With the help of Pauline, they certified the estate as organic in 2008 and employed biodynamic preparations.
