Mas de Daumas Gassac
In 1971, Aimé Guibert, a symbol of the Languedoc renaissance, founded Mas de Daumas Gassac with Véronique Guibert. Today, his four sons Samuel, Gaël, Roman, and Basile Guibert, are at the head of the estate. Mas de Daumas Gassac is a family estate owned by the Guibert family for over 40 years. It is located in Aniane, in a wild valley, in the shadow of the prestigious abbey of Aniane, founded in 782 by Saint Benedict of Aniane, adviser to Charlemagne. The vineyard extends over 50 hectares of deep soil, well-drained and free from chemical fertilizers. The harvest is manual and the vine parcels are small, set within the vast garrigue forest that dominates the landscape.
