Born at the foot of Pic Saint-Loup, My Peak is much more than a textile brand. Behind each creation lies French manufacturing, a deep attachment to the territory, and the desire to invite everyone to embark on the conquest of their own summit.
To begin with, who are you?
We are four associates, two couples of neighbors, residents of Triadou, who became friends: Agnès
and Quentin, and Aurore and Glenn.
We all share a strong attachment to the territory of Grand Pic Saint-Loup, to nature and outdoor activities.
Today what drives us is to make our brand, MON PIC, come to life, a brand that resembles us, that brings us together, around common values, around Made in France, to highlight our summit, our mountain, but also to invite everyone to make their adventure, their own horizon, their personal summit.
Can you introduce your brand in a few words?
MON PIC is a textile brand made in France and inspired by Pic Saint-Loup.
We work in collaboration with French workshops that make the textiles, then we create the design and perform customization through different types of marking in Triadou at the foot of Pic Saint-Loup. Our outdoor collection is aimed at everyone, men, women, and children with multiple proposals, all connected to our Pic, so that everyone can find the piece that will allow them to take ownership of this adventure. We also created a technical range for the more athletic ones, showcased in numerous events of the territory.
Who is behind this project?
Today MON PIC is us four, but also all the people who share our vision and our project.
Thanks to the complementarity of our skills, we have each found our place: graphic creation and manufacturing, communication and social networks, commercial development and sales, creation and management of the online store.
We stepped out of our comfort zone, we worked, met workshops, other professionals to be able to offer quality products to the greatest number.
MON PIC is also that, pushing one's limits, working together, it's a collective adventure, born from friendship and it's also what makes it rich.
How did this idea come about?
The idea was born from a common desire: to create a French brand that makes sense.
The issues related to the textile industry, waste, working conditions are today at the center of environmental challenges. We wanted to build another model, to highlight the fact that it is possible to manufacture in France and offer accessible prices.
And of course, Pic Saint-Loup has been our source of inspiration.
How has the adventure evolved from the first sketches to today?
The adventure began about two years ago with many ideas and questions.
French manufacturing is a real challenge, we had to search, meet, and convince workshops capable of meeting our quality and price requirements. Today we have woven a solid network of French partners that remains in constant evolution.
Thus, we have been able to gradually develop our range to offer today an outdoor collection and a technical collection accessible to all. Our design is also in constant evolution. The graphic charter with its patterns and colors highlights the DNA of Pic Saint-Loup: its dizzying ridge, its reliefs, its contrasts, and the color shades that traverse it depending on the seasons and the days.
What have been the main challenges you have faced since the launch? Conversely,
what have been the best opportunities or the people who have helped you move forward?
The main challenge has been to succeed in reconciling our ambitions: to produce in France, limit waste, work with committed partners, and offer accessible prices.
One of the best opportunities has indeed been to discover French workshops that share our vision. We have thus woven a network of solid partners that has allowed us to meet this challenge and offer today a high-quality Made In France collection.
We have also been fortunate to meet numerous sports, cultural, professional associations, and many stakeholders in our territory thanks to the sports and associative events in which we participate.
All these encounters, rich in human interaction and sharing, have allowed us to progress and move forward on the path of entrepreneurship.
What is your "favorite place" in the territory where you like to meet,
get inspired, or practice your sports activity?
Unsurprisingly, our favorite remains obviously Pic Saint-Loup itself! All four of us, alone, or with family, it remains our landmark, north face or south face, the ridges, the castle, we are everywhere!
What is the best feedback you have received since the launch?
The best feedback is certainly when people tell us they recognize themselves in MON PIC, each in their own way: the territory, the design, Made In France, pushing one's limits and the search for their own summit to surpass.
Knowing that a person buys a MON PIC product not only because they love the design but also because they adhere to what we advocate is probably the greatest reward.
What are your upcoming projects or wishes for the future?
We have many desires!
In the short term, we will continue to enrich our range with new textiles and new designs.
We also wish to continue developing our presence at the sporting and associative events in the territory and strengthen the bonds that unite us.
We will continue to grow our brand beyond Grand Pic Saint-Loup so that the values of MON PIC can be a source of inspiration in our beautiful French territory.
We want to continue to develop the solidarity aspect of the project. We have thus chosen to support Fabienne, a Montpellier mountaineer suffering from brittle bone disease and ankylosing spondylitis in her incredible sporting challenge of climbing the highest peaks in the world. Her journey perfectly represents the values we wish to uphold: pushing oneself, determination, and the ability to reach one's own summit regardless of the difficulties encountered.
And then who knows? Perhaps a larger local project yet to be revealed?
In conclusion, if you had to describe your brand in a few words, which ones would you choose?
My Made In France
Mon Pic
You chose Made in France. Why was it important for you?
It was an essential choice from the start.
We want to know the origin of our products, work with people who share our values, and place French know-how at the center of manufacturing. We also work with solidarity workshops, with adults with disabilities. Beyond the major environmental stakes, the place of humans and working conditions is also at the center of our concerns.
It is an approach that requires time and perseverance but also gives a lot of meaning to our project.
When you imagine a new creation, where do you start?
Every new creation begins with a phase of observation of Pic Saint-Loup, appreciating a moment, a feeling associated with it, a curve, a profile, a gradient of color that naturally creates on our Pic.
Then follows the realization of several sketches, drawings, and then a digital creation adapted to the chosen marking technique. The choices of textiles, materials, shapes, and colors complete this phase of creation. The last step after manufacturing is the movement of our creation, associating it with music and views around the Pic for communication and networks.
It is important for us that our design choices remain within the selected graphic charter to maintain our individuality while respecting current textile codes. We seek the perfect balance between territory identity, aesthetics, comfort, and use.
Why choose to create a brand here, in the territory of Grand Pic Saint-Loup?
Pic Saint-Loup is much more than just a landscape for us. It is a landmark, visible well beyond the territory, that we traverse and that brings us together. We walk, run, climb, ride, discover it, photograph it, traverse it alone or in groups, at all hours of the day and night, at all ages and for multiple reasons.
We wanted to create a brand deeply rooted in this territory but without limiting it to a mere tourist representation.
