A story in the feminine
We manage a canoe rental structure that offers routes starting from the Moulin de Bertrand dam, located between Saint-Martin-de-Londres and Causse-de-la-Selle, ending 12 kilometers downstream, near Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert.
We are specialists in this part of the Grand Pic Saint-Loup territory.
Our region is classified among the Great Sites of France, which distinguishes the Pic Saint-Loup region from sites like Ardèche or the Gorges du Verdon, although we have a significant attendance in August, it remains incomparable to that of other rivers. Our route is isolated, making it wilder. The road does not run along the river, so only canoeists can access this part of the Hérault, making it a truly remote place.
A family story for everyone
Our activity attracts a varied audience, groups of friends, families, “children” are accepted from 4 years old on adapted routes. Over the past twenty years, canoeing has become much more democratized. Today, it appeals to a much more urban audience, often unfamiliar with this environment. This requires us to adapt our advice and raise awareness among these new practitioners about the specifics of the great outdoors for their safety and for respect for the environment.
An environmental challenge.
The main challenge is to manage the impact of our activity on the environment and the quality of life of residents. We must allow a large number of people to access these preserved natural sites without degrading them.
