Art in the landscapes.

Through contemporary creation, art finds its place in various landscapes, between nature and architecture, proposing a fascinating dialogue between space and artistic production. The landscapes transform, reinvent themselves, and offer a new reading of the world around us.

Punctuated by various creations, each municipality brings its own identity, its atmospheres, and its specificities.

By the edges of Landscapes is an invitation to wander, to pause, and to reflect on our relationship with nature and the environment, thus revealing the diversity and richness of our territory, while also helping the public to adopt a new artistic approach.

The artists of the 2025 edition

Anatolian

Catherine and Alexandre imagined a work between earth and sky, inspired by the territory and surrounding nature. Designed as three large pieces overlooking the site and a bench inviting visitors to contemplation, the work seems to be in motion, as if animated by the elements.

This monumental and immersive work offers a new reading of the space of Col de Fambetou. The bench welcomes visitors for a moment of peaceful contemplation, inscribed in a rediscovery of nature.
For fifteen years, Catherine Baas & Alexandre Baudouin have collaborated to create immersive installations at the intersection of environmental art, botany, design, and architecture. Primarily working in the open air, they design works that open new horizons and encourage innovative dialogues.

A Cycle

Ador envisioned a humorous interpretation of the legend of Pic Saint Loup, in the style of a pop-up book where a 3D scene emerges on each new page. In front of the visitors, a scene unfolds blending a brawl and a romantic quest, a sort of reference to the legendary fights of the Gallic village of Asterix and Obelix.

Conceived from a multitude of cut-out panels, painted and installed above the drinking trough, the work will capture the attention of passersby from the entrance of Notre Dame de Londres. Thanks to different levels of reading, both children and adults will see all sorts of possible interpretations.

The Nantes-based artist Ador tells stories about the world around him by staging characters in humorous situations, often touching on satire. He creates narratives on canvas, walls, and even in books he produces. His characters express themselves in universes inspired by childhood, circus, fairy tales, or current events.

Lining

The collective Atelier YokYok was inspired by this large wall, allowing them to imagine a large-scale work like a giant canvas. The color unity of the blue shutters of the houses on the square provided additional inspiration for the use of work blues, a material the collective wished to explore.

This work, occupying almost the entire height of the wall and curving over one of its corners, invites spectators to discover the architecture in a different way. By placing themselves underneath, the visitor becomes an actor of the installation for a moment, turning the installation into a kind of life-sized portrait.

Yokyok is a creation workshop founded in 2015 in the Paris region by two architects, designing in situ installations, whether permanent or temporary, offering users immersive and emotional experiences. Each creation is designed to interact with its environment and responds to a need, emphasizing usage in their approach.

Color Rain

For this work and this place, Patricia Cunha chose to reinterpret one of her emblematic installations adapting it to the structural and spatial characteristics of the square.

It is a vibrant, lively work, almost alive, reacting to every breeze. It evokes joy and wonder, and invites passersby to look up.

Installed between the two large trees of the square of Saint Martin de Londres, this work will overlook the space. Circular and made up of adhesive ribbons of several colors, it will vibrate in the whim of the wind and light.
The Portuguese artist Patricia Cunha reinvents public spaces by making interventions at height. Umbrellas, ribbons, and colorful balloons adorn the streets, dancing with the wind and interacting with natural light.

Her large-scale installations transform the environment and attract a wide audience, becoming popular tourist spots.

The keys of time

Dominique Fajeau creates a door made entirely of keys, celebrating the 1000 years of history of the municipality of Saint Martin de Londres. Opening onto the history and memory of the village, this work is collective as the inhabitants donated numerous keys, thus aiding in the final composition.
