Near the hamlet of Le Frouzet, you enter the Grand Site de France "Gorges de l'Hérault", classified as a landscape site. From here, you can cross the Hérault river and admire the hydroelectric dam built upstream of an old mill, the former Bertrand mill, and the dam of the electricity cooperative created by local farmers in 1920.

From Causse-de-la-Selle to Saint-Jean-de-Buèges

From Causse-de-la-Selle, head towards Saint-Jean-de-Buèges. A pass above this hilltop village offers a beautiful panoramic view of this picturesque valley. Near the hamlet of Méjanel, the source of the Buèges offers a haven of freshness. Don't hesitate to push on a little further to discover the charming medieval village of Pégairolles de Buèges.

From Saint-Jean-de-Buèges to Saint-André-de-Buèges

This charming medieval village nestles under the rock of Tras Castel. Discover the feudal Château de Baulx, the winding streets, the Romanesque church founded by monks from the nearby abbeys of Gellone and Aniane at the end of the 11th century and its hundred-year-old plane trees.

From Saint-André-de-Buèges to Saint-Etienne d'Issensac

Dominated by the Roc Blanc, the 942m-high summit of the Séranne, the village is irrigated by the Buèges river, the starting point for the Séranne Pontel hike. Don't miss the listed church (late 11th century), a fine example of the Lombard architecture so popular in these parts, and the 15th-century Vareilles bridge.

From Brissac to Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois

Near the Romanesque church, a vast shady park and playground invite you to relax. A charming village overlooked by the remains of its ramparts and imposing fortified castle.

Home to the "Grotte des Demoiselles". At the foot of the plateau, this cathedral of abysses is an enchantment. Stalagmites, giant stalactites, calcite flows and translucent draperies make up a veritable library of geological time. You can continue the tour via the medieval village of Laroque, built on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Hôtel.

See the keep tower, the main building and the chapel. The site is famous for its waterside terraces. This is the ideal spot for hiking on the Séranne or the Thaurac plateau, canoeing and climbing down the Hérault, via ferrata and potholing. The diversity is exceptional.
