Saint-Vincent-de-Barbeyrargues, whose name dates back to the Gallo-Roman era, developed around the Saint-Vincent church, built in the 11th-12th centuries.
In the Middle Ages, the village is mentioned in the register of the diocese of Maguelone and has retained its medieval character. Nearby, the archaeological site of the Cap barré de Garastre bears witness to the ancient occupation of the region.
